My Story
A self described runner with a cycling problem. As a teen growing up in Eugene, OR, his bike was a gateway to exploring the city and surrounding areas. Always fascinated with the mechanical connection between bike and human, his passion for cycling grew. Returning stateside after being deployed to Japan while in the Navy, the first thing he bought was a new road bike. The need to explore Whidbey Island by bike was a means to keep fit physically and mentally. As a gift to himself when he graduated college, he did his first bike build which included teaching himself the skill of wheel building. That late 90's Kona mountainbike is still in service today with his original wheels (along with a few upgrades over the years). After moving back to Oregon in 2000, he resumed his passion for all things 2 wheels racing on road, biathlons, time trials, velodrome, and cyclocross. In recent years he's added triathons to the mix and resumed building bikes. His latest adventure has been exploring the backroads of Cape Cod on his gravel bike.

It's all about the ride...
